Forest Studio？森林工作室是什么？

Forest Studio was founded in Beijing in 2011 by Yilan Zeng and Zhang Ruo.森林工作室于 2011 年创立于北京，由曾亦兰与张弱共同发起。

Our practice moves between art, design, architecture and everyday life. Early projects often began with discarded objects, abandoned spaces and overlooked materials, asking how they might re-enter daily life.我们的实践游走于艺术、设计、建筑与日常生活之间。早期的工作常从旧物、废弃空间和被忽视的材料开始，关注它们如何重新进入生活。

After moving to Berlin in 2017, our focus gradually expanded from objects toward public space, social sculpture and the longer relationship between people and place.2017 年迁居柏林之后，我们逐渐把注意力从物件转向公共空间、社会雕塑，以及人与地方之间更长期的关系。

Today, our main long-term practice is based in Maiorca, central Portugal.如今，我们最重要的长期实践位于葡萄牙中部的 古老村庄Maiorca。

There, we continue to explore a larger question:在那里，我们不断尝试回答一个更大的问题：

Can artistic practice help rebuild not only objects and spaces, but also the conditions of life around a place?艺术实践是否不仅能够创造作品，也能够重新建构一个地方的生活条件？

Through artist residencies, ecological building, community collaboration, shared kitchens, local material research and public cultural activities, Forest Studio is gradually developing a long-term vision:通过艺术家驻留、生态建造、社区合作、共享厨房、地方材料实验和公共文化活动，Forest Studio 正在逐步发展一个长期愿景：

Practicing Retopia（Rebuilding Peach Blossom Spring）

It is neither a closed artists’ colony nor a conventional real-estate project.

它不是一个封闭的艺术家聚落，也不是传统意义上的地产项目。

We are exploring a more sustainable model for artists to live and work, where art, dwelling, building, shared infrastructure and local communities can coexist over time.

我们希望探索一种更可持续的艺术家生活与工作模式，让艺术、居住、建造、共享空间和地方社区能够长期共存。

Rather than designing a finished utopia,
we are learning through practice whether one can be built.

不是设计一个完成的乌托邦，
而是在现实中慢慢学习，它是否可能被建造出来。
